Chasing the Polar Lights

The polar night is a very unique time of the year. There is absolutely no daylight for 3 months, but during this time you have the very best chance to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). In order to have the best view we need to leave Longyearbyen behind us,  since the light pollution from the city is quite high. You are picked up at your Hotel,  you get snugly dressed for the trip and then you get an introduction to Snowmobile riding. It is relatively simple to get the hang of and you don’t need any prior experience. We then drive into the Advent Valley and beyond in an attempt to chase the Northern Lights. Hopefully we will get lucky and while you enjoy this amazing view our guide will serve you hot beverages and cookies while you hear the fascinating story of the lights.
