When is the summer season?
Summer tours run from around May to October. From June to August there are 24 hours of daylight, with the midnight sun at its best.
On the water
The glacier and walrus safari runs five hours by RIB boat, the bird safari six hours, and we also run shore excursions for cruise passengers calling at Longyearbyen.
On land
Hikes up Sarkofagen and Platafjellet, a guided trip into the Bjorndalen valley, ATV safaris in Adventdalen, and tailor-made walks arranged on demand.

From June to August there are 24 hours of daylight. From 23 August the days begin to shorten again.
What wildlife might I see?
Walrus, seals, whales, seabirds, Svalbard reindeer and Arctic fox, depending on the tour. Polar bears may be seen at a safe distance, but are never sought out.
Are summer tours suitable for beginners?
Yes. Most are rated easy and suit all fitness levels. The mountain hikes are rated moderate and need a reasonable level of fitness.
