Do I need experience?
No. Most routes suit beginners, and every tour starts with a safety briefing and clear driving instructions. Drivers need a valid class B driving licence and must bring it.
Driver or passenger?
You can drive your own snowmobile or share one as a passenger, and on many tours swap along the way. Passenger rates are lower than driver rates.
What is included
A warm snowmobile suit, boots, helmet and gloves, a safety briefing, hot drinks and food on most routes, and transfer to and from your accommodation.

Which snowmobile tour should I choose?
Coles Bay is the shortest at four hours. Elveneset, the polar night tour and the northern lights tour run six hours. Tempelfjorden is eight, and the east and west coast expeditions are full ten-hour days.
Do I need a driving licence?
Yes, if you want to drive. A valid class B licence is required and you must bring it on the tour. Passengers do not need one.
Is there an age limit?
It varies by tour. Most start at 8 years, while the west coast expedition is 10 and the east coast expedition is 12.
When is the snowmobile season?
Roughly from mid-December to mid-May, depending on the route and snow conditions.
What does a snowmobile tour cost?
From NOK 2,250 per driver on the shorter tours up to NOK 4,390 on the east coast expedition. Passenger rates are lower.
