The calmer half of our winter offering: glacier ice caving, northern lights tours, sightseeing around Longyearbyen and sleigh rides through the valleys.
For an easy introduction, choose the three-hour sightseeing tour. For a route adapted to your fitness and interests, choose our guided hiking tour.
Ice caving
A five-hour guided tour into the blue inner chambers of a glacier, rated moderate and suited to participants with a good fitness level. Minimum age 8 years.
Northern lights and sightseeing
Three-hour tours, both rated easy and suitable for all fitness levels — a good starting point if you have just arrived in Longyearbyen.
Sleigh rides
Three hours through the snow-covered valleys with room for up to six people. Minimum age 6 years, which makes it the most family-friendly winter tour we run.

The sleigh ride has the lowest minimum age at 6 years, and is rated easy and suitable for all fitness levels.

Most of these tours are rated easy. Ice caving is the exception at moderate, and suits participants with a good fitness level.
When do these tours run?
Ice caving runs from 1 November to 17 May, northern lights tours from 15 October to 10 March, and sleigh rides from 20 November to 17 May.
