A six-hour guided evening tour by snowmobile from Longyearbyen through Adventdalen. It suits most people, including those with no snowmobile experience, and combines a snowmobile adventure with the hunt for the aurora.
What you experience
You ride through the dark, snow-covered landscape of Adventdalen while watching for the northern lights above you. It is an active and family-friendly way to experience the Arctic night.
Safety and equipment
You are given a warm snowmobile suit, boots, helmet and gloves, and the guide runs a full briefing before we set off. Our guides know the area and carry a rifle as a precaution against polar bears. The minimum age is 8 years.
Northern lights by snowmobile or by car?
Would you prefer something calmer? This is an active six-hour snowmobile adventure, while our northern lights tour by car is a shorter three-hour drive to good viewpoints. Choose whichever suits you.

Along the way we stop at carefully selected locations to take spectacular photos, enjoy the silence of the Arctic wilderness, and hear fascinating stories from your experienced guide about the wildlife and nature of the area.
